Pricing and Payment Policies

Investing in your health is just that - “an investment”. Unlike other investments where you gain financially – health investments cause you to gain in wellness, energy, stability, and happiness, among a wealth of other benefits. This is your health that we are talking about. This is not a new house, a new car, or a new stock to add to your portfolio. What good are those material things without the one true gift of good health? At Caring Medical we strive to achieve that ultimate goal for you - that goal of being healthy and strong. Only you can decide what is fair and “worth the investment” when it comes to out-of-pocket costs for your health care. We will make every effort to instill the feeling of “that was worth it” when you come to Caring Medical.

Pricing and Payment PoliciesMany insurance carriers understand the benefits of natural medicine services, including Prolotherapy, and reimburse for these services. We strive to provide you with the finest level of care and will continue to help you, our patients, attempt to get the most reimbursement you can from your insurance company.

Please understand, however, that there is still no guarantee that insurance companies will reimburse for your treatments here, even after they have said ‘yes’ to complete or partial coverage.

imgProlotherapy, our most sought out and popular treatment for chronic pain conditions, is being covered (or at least partially covered) by insurance companies within the U.S. We also have resources and information to offer our patients in order to help with this reimbursement. The most accurate way to determine costs is to schedule the initial consultation and let the doctor determine which areas should be treated, as this varies greatly patient to patient. If it turns out you are not a candidate for Prolotherapy, we will not charge you for the office visit.

All prices are explained up front and neither treatments nor lab testing are done without the patient's prior approval. If finances are an issue, treatments and testing may be done in increments. *Feel free to let us know up front if finances are an issue.

Standard Payment Policy

We respectfully request that patients pay in full at the time of service. Caring Medical accepts all major credit cards, debit cards, personal checks, and/or cash for payment of services (or any combination of the above).

Caring Medical will provide patients with a detailed invoice that they can submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. The invoice will be marked asking the insurance company to send any reimbursement directly to the patient. If the insurance carrier inadvertently sends the payment to Caring Medical, we will promptly reimburse you in the form of a check.

Pricing for treatments, medications or consultations are subject to change at any time.

Please note: Health insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier only. We are not part of your contract and can in no way guarantee any level of insurance reimbursement. If your insurance carrier refuses payment, for any reason, the patient remains responsible for the charges. Caring Medical withdraws itself from involvement in insurance disputes, but will provide you, or your insurance company, with any information that we are capable and able to release. We will do our best at helping you get the best reimbursement possible. Information and packets are available by your request.

Medicare/Medicaid
Since Medicare/Medicaid have determined that they will not cover natural medicine services, including Prolotherapy, Caring Medical cannot be part of this system. Patients who are eligible for these benefits cannot receive reimbursement from Medicare/Medicaid for services provided by Caring Medical.

Secondary or supplemental insurance companies, however, allow patients to send a letter of understanding with regard to services provided by Caring Medical and Medicare's non-coverage of our services. We will generate this letter, along with a detailed invoice, and give it to patients who choose to submit to their secondary or supplemental insurance company.

Some Medicare patients are getting coverage from their secondary insurance carriers. Please discuss this with our billing department if you have more questions. (billing@caringmedical.com).

Legal Cases
Caring Medical remains removed from cases such as workman's compensation, auto accidents and legal cases. Patients who choose to receive treatment at Caring Medical will be required to pay 100% at the time of service and will receive receipts for their services. Patients are responsible for filing their own claims.

Fee Guidelines
The following list has been provided as a guide for determining expected costs for various services provided at Caring Medical.  Actual prices may vary on an individual basis. The only person who knows how much your treatment will cost is the physician – and that is only after he has seen you and determined what you need. Each person is treated as an individual, therefore, everyone does not receive the exact same treatments.

Please feel free to discuss any billing issues with our Patient Accounts Representative  or Billing Team Leader during regular business hours. Email or call them at 708-848-7789 or billing@caringmedical.com.

Office Visits & Consultations:
(Prices subject to change)

New Patient Prolotherapy Consultation: $250
New Natural Medicine or Nutritional Consultations: The price for the consultation is part of a package that includes initial laboratory testing. The prices may vary depending on your medical history, but typically range from $799-1852.
Follow-up visits: approximately $125.00 to $175.00
Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching Visits: $75.00 to $100.00

Prolotherapy/Neural Therapy Injection Therapies: (Reflects a per treatment price)
It is impossible to know the exact price of each treatment, as every patient is different. These are just guidelines. The actual price may be more or less than these estimated prices.

For example, someone with “back pain” might have pain in the lower back and the hips. But you just look at the “back pain” price. You may actually need to have your low back treated, as well as your hips. So the cost would be $525 plus $250 per hip.  On the other hand, your back pain might involve only treating your mid-back region and nowhere else. It just depends on your particular case. So please, remember, these are just approximate costs.

Additional proliferants: Additionally, sometimes patients will require different solutions and/or medications during treatment. This may add additional costs to the treatments. Be sure to discuss the prices with your doctor before receiving your treatment.

Laboratory Services
Caring Medical provides an on-site laboratory for the convenience of our patients. Much of the testing we require is unique, and therefore is not done in a regular outside lab. The prices that we have for many of these tests are typically far lower than the prices that the patient would be charged should he/she go to a local hospital for services.

Appointments with the laboratory are made separately from your physician appointments. Prices for labs will be discussed at the time of the office visit. Test results will be discussed and interpreted at your follow-up appointment.

Do you have questions for Caring Medical?
We love to hear from you and are anxious to help in any way that we can. We will answer your questions to the best of our ability. If you want specific recommendations, we suggest having a consultation with one of our doctors. By doing this, you will receive a more comprehensive answer to your specific case because your entire history will be reviewed. It is not possible, in most cases, to answer specific questions about your current treatment with another medical professional nor give an opinion about how you are being treated.

If you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us using the “Scheduling” button below or call us at 708-848-7789.

Our Policy On Physician Referrals
Unfortunately, we cannot offer recommendations for other Prolotherapists. While most of these physicians are well trained in Prolotherapy, some are not. The article on www.prolonews.com site "All Prolotherapists Are Not Created Equal," tells of the experiences some patients have had with physicians who were not well trained in Prolotherapy.

If you would like to seek a Prolotherapist, we have a source for you. Try the web site www.getprolo.com. It is a free listing of Prolotherapists around the country.

Obviously, we are biased and want you to come here. We are considered, by many, to have two of the most experienced physicians in Prolotherapy. We see many patients from around the U.S. and the world. If you would like to become a patient, we would be happy to see you.
