DESCRIPTION:
Thank you for your interest in the Natural Medicine approach to treating disease and healthy living! Caring Medical is currently a full time Prolotherapy doctor's office, headed by Ross Hauser, MD and we are blessed to fill the needs of patients seeking an alternative to surgery. We are accepting new patients and athletes suffering from chronic pain, sports injuries, and arthritis for treatment with Prolotherapy. Due to this large demand in Prolotherapy, we are not currently accepting new patients for natural medicine conditions, this includes autoimmune conditions, weight loss, menopause, hormones, or cancer. Through the years, we have seen so many lives turn around for the better with some of the methods discussed on this page, and encourage you to seek a Natural Medicine practitioner at www.acam.org.
In the autoimmune disorder idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), the body's immune system attacks its own cells, in this case its blood platelets. Blood platelets normally help stop bleeding. In ITP, this critical cellular function is impaired.
How does idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura develop?
In ITP, the body forms antibodies that destroy blood platelets, which eventually leads to destruction in the spleen. Normally, antibodies are a healthy response to bacteria or viruses. In people with ITP, however, the antibodies attack the body's own blood platelets. Normal platelet counts are between 150,000 and 450,000. People with ITP may have very low platelet counts, often between than 20,000 and 50,000. The cause of ITP is not known.
What are the symptoms of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura?
Usually there are no signs or symptoms of ITP until the platelet count becomes quite low. If the platelet count falls to an extremely low level, spontaneous bleeding may occur. This bleeding may occur at any site in the body. Usually it starts as easy bruising and bleeding from the gums. A more severe form is gastrointernal bleeding, which can occur in the vital organs in the stomach area. Intracerebral hemorrhage, or bleeding into the brain, can cause a stroke, although it is very rare.
Conventional medical treatments may help relieve the symptoms of ITP but they do not address the root of the problem. Generally, by undergoing comprehensive natural medicine testing, the reasons the body is producing antibodies against itself can be found. Some of these reasons include sensitivities or allergies to foods, inhalants and chemicals and various infections.
Discover why we believe that natural medicine treatments are the best way to treat idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura disease.
