DESCRIPTION:
Thank you for your interest in the Natural Medicine approach to treating disease and healthy living! Caring Medical is currently a full time Prolotherapy doctor's office, headed by Ross Hauser, MD and we are blessed to fill the needs of patients seeking an alternative to surgery. We are accepting new patients and athletes suffering from chronic pain, sports injuries, and arthritis for treatment with Prolotherapy. Due to this large demand in Prolotherapy, we are not currently accepting new patients for natural medicine conditions, this includes autoimmune conditions, weight loss, menopause, hormones, or cancer. Through the years, we have seen so many lives turn around for the better with some of the methods discussed on this page, and encourage you to seek a Natural Medicine practitioner at www.acam.org.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) consists of chronic disorders in which the intestine, or bowel, becomes inflamed, often causing recurring abdominal cramps and diarrhea. The two types of inflammatory bowel disease are Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis.
How does inflammatory bowel disease develop?
Inflammatory bowel disease is caused by an abnormal bodily reaction in which the immune system attacks the digestive tract. If the body is functioning correctly, the intestines act as a barrier against bacteria and toxins, while allowing for absorption of nutrients. When this complex process fails, or when intestinal permeability increases and allows greater exposure to antigens, inflammatory bowel disease is likely to occur. A family member of a person with inflammatory bowel disease has an increased risk of developing the disease, suggesting a genetic predisposition. Although stress may aggravate the condition, it is not considered a cause.
What are the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease?
Inflammatory bowel disease is considered a remitting and relapsing condition, with periods of active intensity and periods of remission with minimal inflammation and thus a reduction in symptoms. The symptoms present during active periods include some or all of the following: bloody diarrhea, pain, fatigue, anemia, bowel urgency, abdominal cramps, weight loss (in severe cases), joint inflammation, irritation of the eyes, mild fever, a rapid heart rate, dehydration and tenderness in the abdominal region.
Conventional medical treatments may help relieve the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease, but they do not address the root of the problem. Discover why we believe that natural medicine treatments are the best way to treat inflammatory bowel disease.
