Flying in to Chicago
If you are planning to fly in and come directly to the office for your appointment, please allow 75-90 minutes from the estimated landing time to your appointment time. Most first-time visits, including receiving a treatment, will last approximately 2-3 hours.
Coming and Going the Same Day: This is most convenient for patients flying in from the Eastern and Central time zones. If you arrive for a morning appointment, you could catch an afternoon/early evening flight to get back home.
In and Out itinerary example: Flight scheduled to arrive at Chicago at 7:30am. Appointment time at 9:00am. Appointment duration is approximately 3 hours. Taxi back to airport at 12:00pm. Return flight scheduled for 2:30pm.
Coming from the West Coast: We have found it beneficial that our patients fly in and stay overnight locally, then have their appointment first thing in the morning. You can then be home for dinner by taking an afternoon flight out of Chicago.
Coming in from Canada: Generally our Canadian patients can fly in and out the same day from areas geographically close to Chicago, such as Toronto or Montreal. If flight time is more than 4 hours, you will probably find it more appealing to space the trip out with an overnight stay. You may consider flying in the day before your appointment, see us in the morning and fly home in the afternoon. Or fly into Chicago in the morning, have an appointment in the afternoon and stay overnight.
Coming from outside the United States and Canada: Itinerary suggestions should be based on your individual case, and our staff is happy to review your case more closely to help you arrange your visit. In some cases, staying in the U.S. for a month or two is ideal and a few treatments can be done closer together. In others, treatments are best done further apart, and would require flying in for each visit through the treatment series. For you to have the best experience, it is necessary for us to have a good knowledge about your case ahead of time and we can advise you on how to schedule your travel appropriately. Please reach out to us directly at email@example.com.
Staying overnight: For your first visit, consider staying the night after treatment, especially if you have difficulty traveling due to your condition and/or are planning to have numerous areas treated during the visit. You will likely find it a more peaceful experience overall if you take a night to relax after your treatment in one of the local hotels. Remember, coming to Caring Medical is about a healing experience. We know travel can be stressful, and find that spacing it out can be helpful for more complicated and sensitive cases.

*We highly suggest using either Red Cab or Blue Cab versus the taxi service from the airports. Both Red and Blue cab will come pick you up from the airport, if you call them ahead of time with your flight information. Their drivers know exactly where our clinic is located, and the best routes to get you here. They taxi patients to and from our office every day and have flat fees, versus metered fees. You will find the experience superior to the taxi services from the airport.
