Blood pH talking
Feeling irritable lately? That could be your blood pH talking! We have been watching the recent trend of both staff and patients complain about the heat wave and show classic signs of anxiety. So what is our approach to the problem? You can bet it is NOT writing out prescriptions for the latest anxiety prescription! Nope, some hot weather dietary tweaking may be all you need to eliminate summer anxiety.
Add MORE carbs? Yes, but most people do not have to go crazy with adding carbs. All of the Hauser Diets promote variety of foods, so warm weather is not an excuse to eat ice cream and pasta for every meal. You should be focusing extra carb intake on fruit and veggies.
Blood pH Results Vary with Seasons: A Look at Caring Medical’s Client Base
One of the essential tests that we perform at Caring Medical is blood pH testing. If you look at the variances of blood pH over a course of seven seasons, it is clear that colder weather lowers blood pH and warmer weather raises it.
Season....Month/Year...Average Blood pH Winter......January 04.....7.50 Spring.......May 04.........7.51 Summer....June 04........7.54 Fall...........Oct 04...........7.51 Winter......January 05...7.51 Spring......May 05..........7.52 Summer....June 05........7.54
The above data was collected on 259 clients at Caring Medical. The trend becomes very obvious - the lowest average pH's were taken in the winter (January) and the highest levels were in the summer (June). More moderate blood pH's were in the spring and fall. Isn't it true people have the most trouble, in regard to their health either in the summer or winter? This is where the extreme blood pH readings are seen. This is why Florida and Arizona are so popular with the “snow birds.”
The person who is on Hauser Diet #3 (or a balanced Bear-Type diet) and feels good in the winter, may all of a sudden feel extremely anxious and over-heated during the summer, and may need to adjust their diet over to a Hauser Diet #4 or Hauser Diet #5 (or a complete vegetarian diet or a Giraffe-Type Diet). A few added carbohydrates will help negate the effects of the hot weather on your blood pH. This person who is normally alkaline, is becoming even more alkaline with the heat. We see it all the time. It’s amazing. You don’t need medications – you need watermelon!!!
Why do people retire to the warmer climates during the winter months? Typically this occurs because they feel better in the warm weather. Why? This population of people has acidic blood compared to the norm. Cold weather lowers their blood pH’s even further, thus, making their arthritis pain worse, their back pain worse…everything feels worse. They go to Arizona where their blood pH rises and guess what happens? They don't need to take arthritis medications, or at least a lot less, and they feel great.
For people who don't have a lot of health swings throughout the year, most likely they have a balanced blood pH (always between 7.50-7.52). They eat Hauser Diet #3 and perhaps eat slightly more fruit in the summer and eat some more protein/meat in the winter. For the rest of us we need to adjust our diets depending on the weather.
Diet___________________Season____Quality of Life____Blood pH Hauser Diet #3 (Bear Type)____Winter_____Feel good________7.52 Hauser Diet #3 (Bear Type)____Summer____Feel terrible________7.55 Hauser Diet #5 (Giraffe)_______Summer____Feel good again____7.51
So beware! If you are noticing a sudden change in your temperament or energy level! It just might be related to your pH!
