Trigger Finger and Arthritis Healed with Prolotherapy Bookmark and Share

David came to Caring Medical a few months ago from one of the local Chicago suburbs about 20 miles away to have Dr. Hauser evaluate the pain he experienced in both of his hands. He had been battling pain for over ten years with no relief. He had tried various rounds of cortisone shots and was told he needed surgery to his hands. At 81 years of age he was having trouble gripping objects and had pain when golfing, cutting the grass, and any activity that required grasping and gripping. David loved to play golf and feared that surgery would keep him from playing. David wanted to try Prolotherapy a try to see if he could get back to doing the things he loved to do!

During his first visit David told us that he had pain in various fingers on both hands, particularly the ring finger on the left and the index and middle fingers on the right, but all of his fingers caused some pain. Dr. Hauser diagnosed the pain in the individual fingers as trigger finger and arthritis in the others. He told David the average number of treatments required would like be three to six, and then treated Davids hands with a Prolotherapy solution specialized for trigger-finger. Dr. Hauser told David to come back in one month for a second treatment.

Fortunately David never needed a second visit! After ten years of pain, he was healed with just one treatment! We spoke to David four months after his original treatment and learned that he was doing great. His trigger finger and arthritis pain were gone in both hands and he was back to his golf game. He was able to grip objects and golf as often as he pleased with no pain at all. He was very happy with his results and started to spread the word about all that Prolotherapy can do for chronic pain.

As we told David, the average number of Prolotherapy treatments needed for an injury is three to six. We do, however, have some patients that require less and some that require more treatments. The best news is that we have a high success rate for healing injuries. If you have chronic pain that you are ready to heal, give us a call. Prolotherapy is a safe and simple alternative to surgery that can leave you pain free!
