Indications for stem cell injections and bone marrow Prolotherapy

The goal of bone marrow Prolotherapy and/or stem cell injection therapy, like any other type of Prolotherapy at Caring Medical, is to stimulate injured tissues to repair.

Caring Medical’s success rate with treating pain and sports injury patients with standard Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy is very high – in the 90% + range. We feel that bone marrow Prolotherapy will be most useful in cases of severe osteoarthritis, certain types of tears (hip labral tears, meniscus tears, etc), and severe cartilage degeneration typically in severely degenerated joints such as the knees and hips.

In order to determine if you are a candidate for bone marrow Prolotherapy, you should make an appointment with Dr. Hauser for an evaluation of your case. Give us a call at 708-848-7789 or email scheduling@caringmedical.com.

Dear Julia, Thanks for your comment. Prolotherapy works great for chondromalacia - it is especially common in runners. The underlying problem is instability that needs to be treated. The only way that we know to treat that instability w/out surgery is Prolotherapy. Here is a link http://www.caringmedical.com/condition_details/Chondromalacia_Patellae.htm If you would like to discuss your condition in more detail, feel free to email us at scheduling@caringmedical.com.

I have chondromalacia in both knees. The knee cap doesn''t sit well, therefore; sometimes I feel and sharp pain when I get up to walk. Also the Left knee is swollen. Is prolotherapy good for this problem. I also have sciatic problems in the Left buttock and Left leg numbness and thingling. How can prolotherapy help these problems and what is the cost?
