He injured his shoulder about four years ago. All surgery did was take him away from his work and his passion…jumping out of airplanes at 12,000 feet off the ground. Oh yes, there was also three months of rehab twice a week. But the pain was still there.
Bill had surgery for a torn rotator cuff a few years ago. But after the bills were all paid the pain still remained. In fact, the pain actually stepped up a notch or two. He even had a couple of episodes when he couldn’t move his arm from his side!
At this point his doctor recommended a cortisone shot, standard operating procedure for pain relief; however, while cortisone shots may temporarily relieve pain, they actually hinder healing (See Prolotherapy Vs. Cortisone.)
Two weeks after the Cortisone shot, Bill’s shoulder dislocated. During physical therapy it dislocated again. One surgeon doubted surgery would help…another thought he was a good candidate for surgery. Frustrated, Bill set out to find an alternative to surgery and a permanent end to his pain.
Apparently people who thrill at the wind rushing by their face at 115 miles per hour refuse to let an injury ground them. Bill found Caring Medical where he also discovered hope.
After six dextrose Prolotherapy treatments, each consisting of 40 to 50 injections of a solution consisting of Dextrose, Procaine and Sarapin, about four weeks apart, he graduated with a clean bill of health and no more pain. He literally danced out of our offices hugging every staffer in his path.
Bill did his part to ensure the maximum impact of his Prolotherapy treatments by exercising three or more times each week. He also took advantage of our Hauser Diet Typing in order to determine exactly what foods he should regularly consume to optimally nourish his body. From the diet typing, we also discovered that Bill should go gluten free for maximum healthy living and to eliminate any joint pain associated with eating allergenic foods.
