Indications for using Bone Marrow Prolotherapy

< Previous Page

Indications for using BMP/SCP? Caring Medical’s success rate with treating pain and sports injury patients with standard Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy is very high – in the 90% + range. We feel that bone marrow Prolotherapy will be most useful in cases of severe osteoarthritis, certain types of tears, and cartilage regeneration typically in severely degenerated joints such as the knees and hips. In order to determine if you are a candidate for bone marrow Prolotherapy, you should make an appointment with Dr. Hauser for an evaluation of your case. For more information on our Prolotherapy research and case reports, please click here.

How much does BMP cost? The costs of Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy are discussed in detail here. The process of obtaining, processing, and injecting bone marrow is an additional charge on top of the Prolotherapy charge for the body part needing treatment. We do two types of Bone Marrow Prolotherapy, direct and concentrated. Depending on your medical history and severity of your injury, Dr. Hauser will make a recommendation as to which type he feels you need.

Direct BMP: $750 + Prolotherapy charge (ie $375 per average joint, for example) = $1125
Concentrated BMP
: $2400 + Prolotherapy charge (ie $375 per average joint, for example) = $2775
