Prolotherapy of the shoulder is a common procedure that we do at Caring Medical. I’m Dr. Ross Hauser, I’m doing the procedure on a patient. This particular patient is not sedated. The first injection I did was intraarticular. Here I’m doing the acromioclavicular joint, so if somebody has osteoarthritis of the shoulder, rotator cuff tendon issues, including tears, as well as tendinosis, it responds very well to Prolotherapy. Here I’m doing the posterior shoulder structures including the posterior shoulder joint as well as the various ligament attachments in the back of the shoulder. You can see that this particular person is doing very well with Prolotherapy and the procedure is going very quickly. And they’re not sedated, and they’ve had very little discomfort. Here the anterior structures in the front of the shoulder are done, including the ligaments as well as the various rotator cuff tendon attachments, including the supraspinatus tendon. Prolotherapy to the shoulder is effective for rotator cuff tears, labral tears, biceps, tendinosis, various tendonitis, as well as shoulder instability. Here I’m treating the AMC joint where various ligaments as well as the biceps attach. You can see again that the person is tolerating the procedure very, very well. This particular technique of Prolotherapy is called Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy because it is so comprehensive. We’re injecting strong solutions as well as treating the area thoroughly.
