Caring Medical - Where the world comes for ProlotherapyProlotherapy Doctors

Thank you for considering Caring Medical for Prolotherapy! Our goal is to deliver the awesome service you should expect from a world-class Prolotherapy doctor’s office. We pride ourselves in providing a professional medical environment where you know you are cared for and listened to, and where your Prolotherapist is passionate about doing what’s right for the patient. In traditional pain medicine, often people are led into poor treatment choices based solely on what insurance will cover, and feel like just another hopeless patient in “the system.” We hear this from people all the time, and think there is so much room for improvement in the field of pain management and sports medicine. For over 20 years, we have been driven to be different and a cut above the rest! Although we all live in a fast-paced, techno-savvy world, we try to get back to basics and find out what is really going on in your life, with your health, with your faith, and provide you with answers. Learn more about our Prolotherapists below, then meet them in person by scheduling an appointment. We look forward to helping you

Prolotherapy Doctor | Ross A. Hauser, M.D.

prolotherapy-doctor-hauserMy desire to become a doctor started when I was a young boy. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to help people. Growing up in a modest middle class home, I am blessed to have been able to accomplish the goal of becoming a Prolotherapy physician. During one of my residency rotations, I realized I wanted to specialize in chronic pain, specifically to help patients get rid of their pain, not just mask their pain. Through the grace of God, in 1993 I was led to join the medical practice of Gustav Hemwall, renowned Prolotherapy doctor, and a truly remarkable man! From that day forward, I became a full-time Prolotherapy doctor. Working alongside Dr. Hemwall gave me immeasurable experience and wisdom and allowed me to develop into an experienced Prolotherapy doctor very quickly. Some days I marvel at the conditions we see here at Caring Medical. You name it, we’ve seen it – from simple sprained ankles to complex total body pain issues. I am a full-time Prolotherapy doctor and am administering 1000’s of injections every day. I feel privileged to be able to utilize my God-given talents to help relieve some of the pain and suffering in this world.

Prolotherapist |  Danielle R. Steilen-Matias, MMS, PA-C

prolotherapistMy first experience in healthcare was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with a primarily geriatric population. It was after this experience that I knew I wanted to further my career in the medical field and become a Physician Assistant. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, MA. Upon completion, I packed up anything and everything that would fit into my car and moved to Illinois to begin PA school at Midwestern University.

During an elective clinical rotation, I was introduced to Prolotherapy at Caring Medical and Rehabilitation Services. Upon completing my rotation, I had not only learned (and performed!) a lot about Prolotherapy but about natural and physical medicine as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here as a student, and later, when an opening for a Prolotherapist became available, I was thrilled. I have since been immersed in cases of all kinds, with an extra special interest in shoulder pain and women’s issues. The patients who I work with have continued to amaze and motivate me, as I see them regain their mobility, strength, and active lives. I am truly so blessed to be able to work at such a great office with phenomenal staff.

Prolotherapy Doctor | David N. Woznica, M.D.

Prolotherapy Doctor - David N. Woznica, MDAs a young child, I grew up witnessing the dedication of my parents to their patients on a daily basis. Spending many days after school at their office, my playground was mainly medical photo books and endless stacks of medication fact sheets. I still remember the long lists of side effects that made me want to stay far away from drugs—especially once I learned what all of those words meant!

I naturally gravitated towards science and fitness. Working many gratifying years as a personal trainer through college and graduate school enabled me to develop skills to help inspire and guide clients along their journeys. While obtaining my Master of Science degree in Cellular Biology I began to appreciate the influence of the environment at the microscopic level during experiments where I learned to control the movement of cells by attracting them with a simple vitamin.

My first introduction to Prolotherapy was during my time as the head PM&R Spine physician at the Yale New Haven Spine Center. I had a challenging young patient who I was trying to keep as far away from a surgeon as possible, and during my search for an effective treatment, I came across Caring Medical. After discussing the case with Dr. Hauser, I was able to get my patient moving in the right direction. The more I observed the process of Prolotherapy, and saw how satisfied patients were with their care and the benefits of Prolotherapy, I decided to change my focus to holistic Regenerative Medicine and Prolotherapy.

Prolotherapist |  Katherine L. Worsnick, MPAS, PA-C

Katherine L. Worsnick, MPAS, PA-CBoth my mother and older sister are nurses and it was seeing their passion for patient care that made me want to go into medicine. I graduated from King’s College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation my first position as a Physician Assistant was in Psychiatry. I have worked in all aspects of Psychiatry including outpatient community mental health, inpatient mental health, and private practice. In 2014, my interest in working in a more hands-on type of practice lead me to Pain Management & Rehabilitation.

Regenerative Medicine has always been a fascination of mine and became particularly interested in Prolotherapy upon learning about the work being done at Caring Medical. My patients continue to motivate me as I see the struggles that they present to me on their initial visit. Patients who have been through the mill seeing countless medical providers, having taken a wide array of medications, and are at their wits end come to me and trust me with their care – for this I am truly blessed. It is an honor to be a part of the solution.
