Chiropractic Physician, Brian R. Hutcheson, D.C.
Education and Professional Journey:
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ in 2008 and Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, Lombard, IL in 2013. Soon after graduating I began working in private practice. I piloted a Chiropractic program within the Federally Qualified Health Center, HopeHealth in Florence, South Carolina. I helped build this program into a huge success. I attribute its success to treating and co-managing our patients with other qualified health care providers, always delivering excellence in diagnostics, service, and care to patients of all ages and with a wide array of medical conditions.
I also helped create the Integrative Pain Management Program at this health center. This program addresses all patients with medical, chiropractic, and behavioral health specialists – providing biopsychosocial care. This program has helped optimize primary care and pain management and has led to more individualized treatment plans, treatment of the whole person, better results, and patient satisfaction.
In 2015 I started the first Digital Motion X-Ray (DMX) business in South Carolina. After attending a DMX conference, I knew I needed to add this technology to my armamentarium. Despite learning the most advanced and best treatment techniques, there was still a significant percent of patients that never fully recovered. These patients fell into chronic pain, with hope only for management of their pain, not recovery or cure.
DMX allowed me to find the “hidden” source of many patients’ chronic problems. In the absence of severe trauma or pathology, patients who have fallen into the chronic pain spectrum often initially show little to no problems on regular x-ray, CT, and/or MRI. Visualizing structures during motion provides a significantly greater depth of information, often revealing the source(s) of the symptoms.
It is through the DMX community that I was blessed to meet Ross and Marion Hauser. I believe that everything happens for a reason, yet, neither of us knew about God’s plan at the time! Crazy how things work out sometimes! We were immediately drawn to one another because of our mutual respect for each other’s specialties, as well as a common bond in always seeking to find optimal care for our patients. One thing led to another, we collaborated on some patients, and now, here I am!
My personal treatment approach and specialty:
First and foremost, I want you to know that I love my patients. I am passionate about what I do and I am excited to be part of an organization that has the same mindset. I want to connect with you and gain your trust, make you smile, and provide the best possible care for you to regain your health. We are in this together and I am so blessed to be part of your healing team.
I head Caring Medical’s Dynamic Orthoneurologic Correction (DOC) Program. You may wonder what that means? Two things that drive body tissue health are the blood supply and the nerve supply. Simply, DOC is a program that evaluates how the position and motion of the bones affect the neurology of the body, then makes corrections to improve function. We want to diagnose these issues using dynamic technology including Digital Motion X-ray (DMX), Caring Medical’s proprietary Motion Arterial & Venous Obstruction Mapping (MAVOM) program, and Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) testing, and then solve these issues using a combination of regenerative medicine treatments and chiropractic care.
Writer and speaker:
Some of the modalities that I utilize include manual adjustments, Impulse iQ adjusting, corrective exercises, soft tissue mobilizations, and dry needling. I also run the Digital Motion X-ray program at Caring Medical and not only oversee our proprietary DMX testing methods but provide a detailed structural analysis and combination treatment plan in collaboration with the other Caring Medical providers.
I love sharing things I have learned and successes I have experienced with my patients. You will be seeing regular e-newsletter articles, videos, and webinars from me. Stay tuned! I have cultivated a lighthearted nature and I love to make others smile, as well as make complex subject matter easy to understand!
